Here it is, November and we are finally updating the blog. Due to computer problems we haven't been able to do it since July. While we've had many great experiences at least we can post some of our latest, greatest events.
We had an October baby, rather than a November baby as we had expected. Jana had planned to fly to Boston November 8th thru the 22nd. The evening of Oct. 27, just before Family Night, Alisa calls home and reports she believes her water broke. Aaahh! Huge change of plans. We talked on the phone helping her know what to pack for the hospital. Then Dave got on line and changed the flight plans for Jana. She was able to fly out the afternoon of baby Elsie's birth and arrive that very evening. What an amazing blessing! Then a couple of days later, Dave decides he wants to be part of it all as well. He turns in some of his miles and arrives on Halloween to spend the weekend in Boston. It was wonderful!
Thanks to family and friends for filling in while we are gone!

Celebrating
Alisa's 24th Birthday!
Happy Birthday, Alisa!
June 23rd 1984 was a perfect day for an angel to be born!
So glad Kyle and Corey could help make the celebration of
that day special.
(This picture would not turn! It's not even sideways from the camera!)
Kyle made the placemat.

Birthday Girl!

Yummy waffle breakfast!

Alisa, it's great having you in the family!
Thanks for being all that you are!
We Love you!

Ray's Surprise Mother's Day Gift
Ray ended up in the hospital two days before Mother's Day. He had been sick and had missed two days of school. He couldn't keep anything down. When he was finally checked by a doctor it was determined he needed to have his appendix taken out. It sure changed the plans for the weekend!
We celebrated Mother's Day in the hospital.

He was released from the hospital that night, so we celebrated with the Wood's, too.
BYU Women's Conference
May 1-2
What started out as no real plans to go to Women's Conference ended up being a great experience after all. Jana's sister, Wendi, from Texas, was able to come as a surprise to everyone! It was so much fun having her with us! (However, we all missed Alisa this year.)

Jana, Wendi, Sarah, and Lori

Jana's other sisters: Alison, Wendi, & Tammy

Helping with the service project Measuring yards of yarn to be woven into hats by EFY
