Fun October 2010!

So much to keep us busy this month. It's always fun to dress up for Halloween, too!

Dave and Lori decided to surprise Jana by working on the downstairs fireplace while she was in England. Looking great!

We enjoyed a busy Labor Day, doing chores at the rental then going to lunch. Ray had Homecoming activities and Jana went to England to help Corey and Alisa when their new baby arrived!

August 2010!

A huge month! So much happened! Dave's surgery on his shoulder, Cameron and Sarah moving away to school, A San Francisco Trip, school starting for Ray, more work in the basement, and a Year mark for missionary Kyle!

A Year in the Life of Elder DeYoung

July and All It's Glory!

July brings the fun of family activities, parades, and fireworks. We always enjoy the yearly summer visit from the Austads and the neighborhood party.

This July we also enjoyed a Youth Spectacular. An event that involved 3,500 youth. All on the football field at one time! It happened to include family members all over the area! It was fun to find them all.

Pioneer Trek 2010

Has it really been four years since the last Stake Pioneer Trek? It was fun to have Dave go with Ray, Abbey here from Texas, and everyone participate in some way.

Wood Reunion Time!

This year the reunion was held in June rather than the usual Labor Day Weekend. It was a fun time in spite of the really hot weather in St. George.

June just flies by!

Summer fun begins in June - Birthday parties, parades, celebrations, and outdoor fun!

Memorial Day Fun!

After working all day painting the rooms at the rental, we enjoyed a fun activity of "geo-caching"!
Lori was the only one who had done it before. We were glad she was with us as she was the one who actually found the hidden box! We nearly gave up, but we were glad she didn't. It was fun to find!

The Merry Month of May

May brought final concerts, Mother's Day, and Miss McKenna's birth!

We also enjoyed another family wedding for Mike and Erin.

With Institute Graduation, Weber State Graduation, and her Study Abroad, the rest of the month focuses on her.

Easter Bunny Day!

Our traditional Easter Egg Hunt always begins with carefully painting 6 eggs each.
They are hidden around Jana's parent's yard the Saturday before Easter. All the kids find their own decorated eggs. They also run like mad to find as many colored plastic eggs, since they usually contain money- coins mostly- but once in a while someone gets lucky with a $20 bill!

The Final Concert
Lori's final Weber State Band Concert was held April 2.
It was one of her favorites!

Can we fill it any fuller?! Family fun times, more birthdays, Ray's run for SBO and his play at the high school. Wow!

Celebrating a 50th Anniversary!

Jana's parents celebrated their 50th anniversary January 23, 2010. It was an especially wonderful day! The celebration began with a session at the temple with the family. Then an open house where friends and family came to celebrate, too. It was truly a golden day!
